UHMW-PE
The versatility of polyethylene has made it a popular plastic for countless industrial applications that require durability, impact resistance, low friction, and chemical resistance. It can withstand extreme sub zero temperatures. Applications include wear strips, chain guides, machinery parts, chutes, guide rollers and marine dock fender pads.
UHMW-PE has good mechanical, physical and tribological properties, such as: extreme hardness and durability, good chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, impact resistance, being easy to fabricate, a very low coefficient of friction and being a non-polarity polymer.
UHMW-PE is used amongst a range of industries including transport, medical, pharmaceutical, food, mining, transport, defence and nuclear energy.
