PET

Polyethylene terephthalate, PET, is the most common thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family. It has superior mechanical properties, strain and creep resistance and very low moisture absorption. PET has a high degree of crystallinity and is often used as sliding material with high mechanical strength and dimensional stability. PETs dimensional stability under heat reaches almost to their melting point at 255°C.

Gantiel stocks natural/unfilled grade and self lubricating grade materials that can be used in applications such as food rotors, manifolds, thrust washers, sprockets, rollers, pump components, precision gears and bearings.

PET is commonly used in industries such as Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Food, Automation and Robotics, Defence, Waste Treatment, Optical, Medical and Transport.
