Cast Nylon
Polyamides are semi-crystalline thermoplastics that are primarily manufactured by poly-condensation. The high moisture absorbency lends PA plastics a hard, tough nature, which is characterised by high impact resistance, high wear resistance, and compression strength and excellent sliding and dry-running characteristics.
We stock a variety of different grades of Cast Nylons to suit any application. Common applications include high-load bearings, bushings, gears, pulleys, seals, sheaves, sprockets, wear pads and plates and support and guide wheels.
MATERIAL
Cast Nylon
Cast Nylon offers one of the largest range of sizes and custom shapes of any thermoplastic.
Like other Nylons, Cast Nylon is not suggested for extremely wet applications. Moisture can cause Cast Nylon to enlarge to as much as 5% in fully immersed applications.
